I know it's a little while to the start of the season yet but here is something that some of you may find interesting.
Anybody out there thinking of night fishing at Monkmoor this coming season? My advice would be to think again.............
Was talking to a couple of the bailiffs recently and they have informed me that night fishing at Monkmoor will not be allowed and it never has been! Its just that nobody has been willing to enforce this particular rule before.
Clear New signs are going up to inform you of this at all points of entry and it will be clearly stated on the ticket so there will be no excuse. I have also been 'told' that there are six new bailiffs who are very willing to patroll along there in the evenings! (it sounds as though they have been hired just for this purpose. I know a couple of them and would not like to get on the wrong side of them!)
I have been advised to spread the word and to inform anyone thinking of night fishing there that it will not be tolerated and to think again. They won't even let you park up in the car park for a kip and in any certain terms YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE SITE even if they have to get the law involved. This they were very certain of! Anyone who has fished there knows that the police station is just at the entry to the fishery.
